Web Site PolicyThe purpose of the AAHN website is to foster the history of nursing and to support the organization's purposes as stated in Article II of the AAHN bylaws.
Links to other non-profit, education and government web sites with content relevant to nursing history is provided without endorsement of those sites.
AAHN encourages web visitors to look to traditional sources, libraries, archives and special collections, for the answers to their questions on nursing history. The webmaster is unable to provide the answers to research or general nursing history questions.
Papers which have been presented at past conferences remain the intellectual property of the presenters and anyone who wishes to obtain their work should utilize appropriate literature indexes to search for published material.
Members addresses, phone numbers or e-mail addresses can not be given out to non-members; the webmaster may forward substantive queries directly to the member. Web visitors with substantive questions who have been unable to locate resources through the AAHN website are encouraged to post their questions on the Nursing History List (see www.nursing.uconn.edu/nurhis-l.html).
Text to journal article will not be provided; materials can be obtained through inter-library loan. Back issues of the Nursing History Review can be purchased directly from the publisher (see NHR page ).
