All members are invited to contribute to this website! We are have an ongoing series on Celebrating Centennials. If you have recently been involved in planning a centennial please contribute your comments, especially what worked, what didn't and general advice for those with a centennial in the near future. And if you are in the midst of your centennial, be sure to let us know and we can feature your organization or agency.
We continue to add to the Gravesite Series. If you have a photograph of a historically significant nurse's grave all you need to do is contact the webmaster.

We know that our members are our best source of new members. Members who recruit new members are eligible for a prize. If you have encouraged someone to join, be sure to get credited with their name. If you have seen the name of a new member in the newsletter and know you were a factor in their joining then contact Jan. The ad hoc membership committee is forming and needs volunteers willing to reach out to members. If you are interested or need brochures, ask Jan.

AAHN has a strong emphasis on networking: peer support is very important to nurse historians. Our database is an important resource which facilitates the work of the association, to link members to others with shared research interests, to match students with mentors, to respond to request for speakers and to respond to queries from the media. When journalists contact headquarters trying to get background on news stories, the member database helps us refer the journalist to an authoritative source.
If you have left your research interest blank on your renewal form you may be missing out on some important networking. Please let us know not only your research topics but also special interests such as collecting, skills such as archival training or even a willingness to accept speaking engagements. You may amend your member data at anytime by headquarters.
